A&I offers administration services for Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), in conjunction with our health plan administration services. The health care Flexible Spending Account can be used to pay for eligible medical, vision, prescription drugs, and dental expenses which are not reimbursed by health insurance. When an employee enrolls in the flexible spending account, they decide how much money they want to deposit in it for the year. They need to plan carefully; if they do not use all the money they've deposited during the plan year, they will lose the remaining balance in the account ("use it or lose it"). Generally, you cannot change the amounts until the next annual enrollment period. However, employees may make changes during the year under special circumstances.
