  • Servers with Redundant Array of Independent Drives (RAID)
  • Secure access to Information Systems server room
  • Secure server racks
  • Firewall protection
  • Virus protection software with real-time scanning
  • Transaction audit trails
  • Routine audit of processing results
  • Anti-spyware software
  • Encryption and decryption software (PGP and SSL)
  • Network audit software
  • Daily backup of all operating systems, software and data with a 35 day backup tape cycle
  • Monthly backup of all operating systems, software and data with rolling archival cycle of up to eight (8) years
  • Off-site storage of backup tapes
  • Multiple operational servers for maximum flexibility if there is failure or loss on a single server
  • Multiple spare workstations
  • Access to disaster recovery and remote support
  • Access to vendors for purchase or repair of equipment, operating systems and/or software

Our offsite systems are known as “hot spares” meaning they are ready to come on-line as needed. The systems are updated on a monthly basis. Disaster recovery details bringing the system on-line, loading the most current backup data from tape and setting up remote connectivity to the server. Tests of the systems and procedures are performed on a quarterly basis.
