A&I’s core administrative systems run on an IBM server in a UNIX AIX environment and a Sun Microsystems server. These systems are maintained by our own internal Information Systems staff and:

  • Hold all employer data
  • Participant data
  • Contribution and work history
  • Calculate pension benefits
  • Generate participant statements
  • Report on delinquent employers
  • Report overages or shortages in contributions
  • And more...

We have three programmers on staff, which allows us great flexibility in programming for special needs and plan configurations. We also utilize several other subsystems and applications in conjunction with the administrative systems for increased flexibility and functionality.

Our health claims system is fully integrated with our administrative systems. Data that is stored in the administrative systems is transferred to the claims system via data feed which provides the information required for processing claims. Results can then be ported back to the administrative system for account management and reporting.
